The bar is open Monday through Thursday, 4:30pm to 1:00am (food served until 11:00 pm); Friday and Saturday 4:30pm to 2:00am (food served until 11:30pm); Sunday 4:30pm to 1:00am (food served until 10:00pm).

Excelsior is located in the Heritage On The Garden on Boylston Street across from the Boston Public Garden and famous Swan Boats. Valet parking is offered nightly after 5:30 p.m. The charge is $16 per car. There is also a limited amount of street parking and several parking lots and garages with varied fees available in the area.
The most accessible stops from the MBTA are on the Green Line at the Arlington stop and on the Orange Line at the Back Bay stop.

From the North (Rt. 93 South or Rt. 1 South):
Take Storrow Drive exit off Rt. 93. Follow the signs for Copley Square. Take the Copley Square exit off of Storrow Drive. Turn left onto Beacon Street, Right onto Arlington Street. At next major intersection, turn left onto Boylston St. (staying in the far right lane). Excelsior is on the right hand side of the street, next to Sonia Rykiel and La Perla.
From the South (Rt. 93 North):
Take Exit 18 (Massachusetts Avenue Exit) off of Rt. 93. Stay in the middle lane. At the third set of lights, turn left toward Mass. Ave. Get into the far right lane and turn right onto Mass. Ave. Take third right onto Washington Street. Travel about 2-miles and turn left onto East Berkeley Street. Travel about 1-mile and turn right onto Boylston Street. Travel two blocks (staying in the far right lane), Excelsior is on the right hand side of the street, next to Sonia Rykiel and La Perla.
From the West (Massachusetts Turnpike):
Take the Copley Square Exit off of the Mass Turnpike. Follow the signs for Copley Square. When you come above ground, you will be on Stuart Street. Continue on Stuart Street for three blocks and turn left onto Berkeley Street. Turn right onto Boylston Street. Travel two blocks (staying in the far right lane), Excelsior is on the right hand side of the street, next to Sonia Rykiel and La Perla.
From the West (Commonwealth Avenue):
Take Commonwealth Avenue toward Boston's Back Bay. Turn right onto Arlington Street. At next major intersection, turn left onto Boylston St. (staying in the far right lane). Excelsior is on the right hand side of the street, next to Sonia Rykiel and La Perla.
From Logan Airport:
Take the Callahan Tunnel toward Boston / Route 93 North. Take the Storrow Drive Exit off Rt. 93. Once on Storrow Drive, follow the signs for Copley Square. Take the Copley Square Exit, Turn left onto Beacon Street, Right onto Arlington St. At next major intersection, turn left onto Boylston St. (staying in the far right lane). From Cambridge:
